Selling in Germany? Find out where your marketing budget actually goes.
Selling into Germany? We check ads, tracking, consent and search visibility for the German market. Written findings in English, 48 hours on working days.
Germany looked like a big market. The results look small.
You launched German campaigns, translated the website, maybe hired a local agency or a freelancer. Clicks are coming in. Sign-ups, enquiries or orders are not, at least not in the numbers the market size suggested. And the reports you get, often half in German, don't really explain why.
If that sounds familiar, whether you sell into Germany from abroad or run an international team based here: the cause is rarely one big mistake. More often it is a cookie banner that quietly blocks conversion tracking, a campaign optimising for the wrong signal, ads running in regions nobody planned, or a website that reads fine to its authors and like a translation to German buyers.
Werbechirurg is a second opinion with a log. We look at what is actually happening and write it down. You get the findings in writing; who puts them into practice is up to you: your team, your agency or, if you like, us. Every change we make goes on the record.
What we look at
Measurement first. In Germany, consent is taken seriously by regulators, courts and competitors, and a real share of visitors declines tracking. If your setup is not built for that, your ad platforms see only part of your conversions, and automated bidding steers on incomplete data. We check which tags load before and after consent, whether Google Consent Mode v2 sends the right signals, and whether conversions reach Google Ads, GA4 and Meta.
Paid search and social. What search terms you actually pay for, where your ads are shown, what bidding strategy is in use and what it optimises towards. German search behaviour has its own patterns: long compound words, different terms for the same thing, and a strong preference for local providers.
Search visibility. Is your German site indexed, are hreflang tags correct, does each German page answer what German users search for? Is your business clear enough to search engines and to AI assistants like ChatGPT or Google's AI Overviews?
German website basics, technically. Impressum present and reachable, cookie banner behaviour, privacy policy linked, form data going where you think it goes. We check the technical side. The legal judgement belongs to a lawyer.
Landing pages. Mobile speed, clarity of the offer within the first screen, forms that work on a phone, and whether the German copy sounds natural or translated.
How we work
1. Diagnosis in 48 hours on working days
You send us your website. We review publicly available sources: your live ads, landing pages, tags, consent behaviour, load times and indexing. No logins needed. The diagnosis is free: you receive the full written report within 48 hours on working days and can then book a free first call. You only pay for work you approve in advance (terms).
2. Written findings
You get a written report in English: what we found, the source for each point, what it probably costs you and what to fix first. It is yours to keep, and you can hand it to your current agency.
3. Repair with a change log
If you hire us, every change is logged: state before, state after, the reason, the backup and how to roll it back. Anything that moves budget or appears in your name waits for your approval. Things that did not work go in the log too.
What we don't promise
No guaranteed rankings, no fixed number of leads, no target cost per acquisition. Those depend on your product, price and competition, and anyone promising them up front is guessing.
No legal advice. German rules on consent, Impressum and advertising in regulated sectors are real and enforced, often through cease-and-desist letters from competitors. We show you what your site does. A German lawyer tells you whether that is enough.

Frequently asked questions
Who is this for?
Any business that wins customers in Germany through paid ads or online and prefers to work in English: international start-ups and SaaS companies in Berlin, foreign online shops entering the German market, expat-run practices, agencies and service businesses.
Is the diagnosis really free?
Yes. We review what is publicly visible, without logins, and send you the full written report within 48 hours on working days, free of charge. You can then book a free first call, and you only pay for work you approve in advance. What happens after that is your decision.
Do you work in English?
Yes. Findings and the change log can be in English (or German or Russian), and we call back on request. Where German text matters, for example on your website or in ads aimed at German customers, we tell you what the German version needs.
Can you tell us whether our website is legally compliant in Germany?
No. We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice. We check what your website technically does, for example which tags load before consent, and flag anything you should have a German lawyer look at.
What do you charge?
Our prices are published openly in the “Preise” section of our German homepage. Ad spend is paid directly to Google, Meta or LinkedIn, not through us.
